It’s officially March and that means we are getting closer to the end of a very long winter (at least we hope… in Buffalo, you never know). This Spring season, there will be tons of fun events taking place in the Buffalo area. We have all been sitting inside our homes for long enough and it’s finally time to get out, explore, and shake off the cabin fever. Let us fill you in on some exciting events in the Cobble Stone District and Downtown Buffalo area that you won’t want to miss. 

Helium Comedy Club : 

Every month, Helium Comedy Club hosts talented and hilarious performers to take the stage. These comedy shows are a great opportunity to spend time with friends and do something different than you typically would do.

Rocky LaPorte will kick things off on March 3rd at 8:00pm. Delivering laughs in his trademark accent, he has become one of the most sought after comedians in the county and just recently appeared on the season 8 of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing!”

Key Bank Center – Dua Lipa 

Global pop superstar Dua Lipa will be performing her Future Nostalgia Tour at the KeyBank Center on Saturday March 5th starting at 7:30 pm. “Future Nostalgia is the longest running top 10 album by a female artist on the Billboard 200 this year and was the #1 most streamed album of 2020 on Spotify.

Buffalo Iron Works  :

Buffalo Iron Works music scene is back and booming! After being closed due to the pandemic for an extended period of time, it’s great to see them have fully scheduled performers coming in each month to entertain.

Buffalo Riverworks : 

If you’re looking to get into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit a little early, Buffalo Riverworks is hosting a “Luck O’ The Irish Paint n Swig” where you can discover your inner artistic abilities. At this special event, you will get the chance to paint a lucky charms inspired piece of art and learn some fundamental techniques from Vivid Buffalo teachers. The teachers will walk you through all of the basics of art and the steps to creating a beautiful painting.

Buffalo Naval Park : 

Another early St. Patrick’s Day event will be taking place on March 15th in honor of USS The Sullivans. Join the Buffalo Naval Park at the Seneca One Lobby for a St. Patty’s celebration and a Save The Sullivans Endowment Campaign. The evening will be full of food, drinks, Irish music, and the premiere of USS The Sullivans documentary “We Stick Together.” 

The Endowment Campaign was established to set aside funds for the long-term maintenance of the USS The Sullivans (DD-537) a 79-year-old Fletcher-Class destroyer. The ship saw action in World War II, the Korean War, and the Cold War, and is a major attraction at The Buffalo and Erie County Naval & Military Park. More to come for the Naval Park – The 2022 Buffalo Naval Park Season Begins on Sunday March 26th!

The Buffalo and Erie County Naval & Military Park will Open for the 2022 Season on Sunday, March 26th! Visit the largest inland park 7 days a week from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. The lasts guests will be allowed to board at 4pm, but the tour route will close at 5pm.

2022 NCAA March Madness Basketball Tournament
