Exciting changes are coming to the heart of Buffalo’s Cobblestone District. Construction is officially underway at the historic DL&W Terminal on South Park Avenue, marking the beginning of a transformative redevelopment that will breathe new life into Buffalo’s waterfront.
Led by Savarino DL&W Development LLC in partnership with the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA), this project aims to convert the former train terminal into a vibrant, year-round public space and market.
A Vision for Community & Culture
Josh Holtzman and Grace Vesneske, the duo behind Buffalo Iron Works and the event production company Twenty6 Productions, are serving as strategic advisors for the DL&W Terminal redevelopment. With over a decade of experience hosting concerts and festivals in the Cobblestone District, they are bringing their passion and expertise to a space that promises to be a hub for music, food, culture, and community connection.
Building on Momentum
The DL&W Terminal redevelopment is fully funded and backed by extensive market research and world-class consultants, ensuring its success as a vibrant addition to Buffalo’s urban fabric. Holtzman and Vesneske’s involvement builds on the success they’ve found in programming events that breathe life into the neighborhood—especially when major venues like the KeyBank Center are quiet.
What’s Next
As construction progresses, the Cobblestone District community and greater Buffalo area can look forward to a revitalized space that celebrates our city’s rich history while offering fresh experiences all year long. From food festivals and local markets to concerts and waterfront nightlife, the DL&W Terminal will soon be a cornerstone of culture and community in Buffalo.
Stay tuned for updates and announcements about upcoming events and opportunities to get involved!
