During a presentation Tuesday in the Lexus Club, the Buffalo Sabres unveiled several specialty foods that will be served at the KeyBank Center concession stands this season.
“The Dominator,” a 5-ounce burger with capicola, cheddar cheese and sun-dried tomato ketchup, is one of the highlights of the new offerings.
There were three specialty hot dogs on display: The “Buffalo Corny” featured Buffalo chicken and roasted corn salsa; the “Agitator” featured red-hot slaw, bacon and Snickers bar crumble topped with blue cheese creme; and the “Nickel City Dog” was topped with mustard, ketchup, creamy slaw and mole sauce (Mexican chocolate).
Also available among “Global Flavors” offerings will be pho bowls with rice noodles, vegetables and chicken; tuna poke with quinoa, carrots, chickpeas and other vegetables; and Greek fusion kreas that showcase lamb, beef or chicken gyros, Greek salad and Greek chips with feta cheese and roasted red pepper dip.
The team is also adding a macaroni-and-cheese cart to the offerings on the 300 level. Added to the menu in the Lexus Club will be chipotle-braised lamb shank and pan-seared scallops with chorizo vinaigrette, plantain chips and white bean puree.
